A Need for Change

Existing infrastructure was underperforming during high-traffic tax filing periods. Frequent slowdowns, lack of automated backups, and absence of real-time monitoring made the system vulnerable to outages, data loss, and compliance risks. With growing demand and increased scrutiny from regulatory authorities, they needed a secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure to host their applicaiton.

Softude’s Role

We architected and deployed a secure, Windows-based infrastructure on AWS using Amazon EC2. The solution leveraged EC2 instances running SQL Server Standard and IIS, configured across multiple Availability Zones to ensure minimal downtime. Automated backups of EBS volumes and databases were implemented to ensure data durability. To enable faster issue detection and resolution, we set up proactive monitoring through Amazon CloudWatch. For data security, we enforced IAM policies, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and two-step verification. The solution also keeps track of all activities to provide full visibility for process audits and ensures that data is encrypted both in transit and at rest.
